The Ruth Mulan Chu Chao and James Si-Cheng Chao Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Ruth Mulan Chu Chao and James Si-Cheng Chao Endowed Scholarship Fund at SUNY Maritime College was created to fulfill the Chao Family’s commitment to education as a pathway to success. The mission of the Fund is to help young people gain access to a high-quality education despite the financial challenges they face. The Fund will provide a scholarship to a qualified graduate student who cultivates a deep interest in Chinese language and culture, and demonstrates academic excellence. The Scholarship Fund is endowed by donations from the Chao Family, their friends and colleagues, and Foremost Group.
