Massachusetts Maritime Academy to Honor Dr. James Chao with Honorary Degree

Dr. James Chao to Receive Honorary Doctorate of Public Administration

The Massachusetts Maritime Academy Board of Trustees will be bestowing an Honorary Doctorate of Public Administration on Dr. James S.C. Chao. The degree will be conferred at the Academy’s commencement exercises, to be held June 23, 2018.

This is a very special commencement, as the Maritime Academy will be celebrating its 175th graduating class. The Trustees have chosen to honor Dr. Chao for his immeasurable contributions to the maritime industry as well as his dedication to and advocacy on behalf of education.
