The Lloyd’s List 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Dr. James Chao, Founder and Honorary Chairman of Foremost Group, at the May 23rd Americas Awards Gala. The Award was given in recognition of Dr. Chao’s outstanding accomplishments in and to the maritime industry. This is only the second time that the award has been presented to a person of Chinese descent.
Lloyd’s List also recognized Dr. Chao’s philanthropic excellence and his life-long commitment to education. Angela Chao, Chair and CEO of Foremost Group accompanied her father to Houston to receive the award. In his remarks, Dr. Chao spoke about his early experiences in the maritime industry and as an immigrant to America.
